Streamer Trunk
Co-Founder + Creative Director • 2022–2025
In 2021, Covid was winding down and it felt like the time for a new beginning. My good friend (who had always wowed with her birthday parties) and I decided to embark on an e-commerce adventure. Streamer Trunk was "Blue Apron for birthday parties:" a complete, imagination-based at-home celebration delivered to your door. Each kit included decorations, tableware, and 60–90 minutes of structured games and crafts, organized around a story-driven theme and guided by a custom-designed activity guidebook. While the product design was truly collaborative, I took on the role of CMO—building the brand from zero, directing all creative production, and managing the full marketing operation through launch and wind-down.

Brand Identity
Our Muse: Mary Poppins
The brand inspiration was Mary Poppins: clean, imaginative, orderly, whimsical, and unmistakably premium. The palette — dark navy, blush pink, bright red, blue-gray — had the warmth of a classic children's book illustration.

The logo went through four concepts before landing on the final mark: a swirling script wordmark with a balloon, set in Desire Pro. The result was something that felt both playful and trustworthy — which is exactly what a parent needs to feel when they're handing a birthday party over to a box.

Everything in the Trunk
Every Streamer Trunk shipped with curated, premium supplies organized into numbered bags — decorations, tableware, activity materials, along with a custom activity guidebook I designed. The guidebook outlined the party experience: a themed narrative arc, scripted activity directions, prep checklists, menu ideas, and timing guidance designed to let parents actually enjoy the party. Initial themes included "Unicorn Quest," "Destination: Moon," "Pirate's Ahoy!," and "Dinosaur Adventure."
Dinosaur Adventure was one of my favorite parties. Partygoers were amazed to discover that a "dinosaur potion" had just been discovered, and they could turn into an actual dinosaur for the next 45 minutes! Kids moved through seven sequenced activities before landing on a paleontologist excavation as the final reveal.

The newspaper article describing the amazing discovery of the dinosaur formula was one of my favorite details of this party.

Social Media + Digital Marketing
I directed a professional photo shoot with photographer Amy Murgatroyd to capture the party experience. I worked with Right Left Agency on initial social and email setup, developing the content framework and visual system for the grid. The social presence was built around the same brand tension as the product itself: structured enough to feel premium, joyful enough to feel like a party.
Streamer Trunk was a phenomenal experience and an amazing education. Building from zero meant doing everything: naming, brand identity, photography direction, print design, digital advertising, email strategy, vendor management, and more. It was the most complete test of my range I've had. I'm incredibly grateful for my partner and friend, Margaret, along with every moment on the journey.
